I am commencing a study project in the chess forum, and would like to invite all Rejoicing members (If you've ever been instated in the team, you are a member--whether currently playing or not, unless you ask me to unjoin you) who wish to join the project to join. Study group membership is totally optional.
My initial plan is for each member of the study to contribute a topic every week or two, say Philidor's Defense, The Fried Liver Attack, the pin, pawn vs. queen, drawing in desperation, my chess hero, my favorite game, etc... The member should write a sentence or paragraph or two on his/her study of the topic, and then other members can add their thoughts. Any improvements on the initial plan are welcome. If you join the study, feel free to take a vacation once in a while, unjoin the study, submit your topic a week or two late, and just have fun. I will add my membership to my signature. If you join, that would be one easy way of showing your membership, but I'm sure some creative individuals may come up with other ideas. "The Lord giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding. He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly." --Proverbs 2:6-7 Rejoice! A warm welcome to eZseven, who has joined TheRejoicingTeam_U1600.
Our U1600 line up for round 3 is BethanyGrace, FargoBear, eZseven, timisrejoicing Very sadly, HindsFeet has been banned from TeamLeague, and his games have been set as forfeits. I am in contact with Hindsfeet and jaberwock concerning this issue, and hope (though I have been told it is unlikely--not impossible) that Hindsfeet will be able to re-join. The U1400 team is going smoothly, with no forfeits on their part. Rejoice Evermore! . HindsFeet 1761 vs GreatSachin 1704

Bh3 1-0 {Black checkmated} Nice job, HindsFeet! Author: BethanyGrace First of all, I would like to commend everyone for establishing their first contact on the game forum within one hour of 19:00. This is an excellent performance which I would like to see repeated every round. We gained one win due to a forfeit because an opponent failed to contact RoyRogersC before the contact deadline. Our U1600 match concluded in a tie, thanks to a good performance by our top two boards. It must be remembered that as our team line-up stands, the lower boards have the toughest job. Our U1400 team had a very tough round, finishing with only one game point. Best wishes for next round. "Crush your enemies!" :) Remember to take your time. 45 45 is a long game, and it's better to spend 5 minutes on making the right move than to make your moves quickly and lose with more time on your clock than you started with. Before making each move, ask yourself what move your opponent will respond with. Always suppose your opponent will make the best move. Happy chess! Rejoice evermore! T |
