Policy
To save captains of this team unnecessary concerns, to promote general amity amongst ourselves and other teams, to ensure justice and fair treatment for all joining this team, and to delineate the expectations of the founders of this team (BethanyGrace and timisrejoicing), we do hereby instate the following written policy:
The following is expected of all team members
Prompt and efficient scheduling of games. Offer 3 times in at least 2 days in which you will be able to play. Give your offers as promptly as possible--Tuesday night or Wednesday morning.
Reliability. Once you have agreed on a time, be there promptly and reliably in conformance with the adage, “5 minutes early, but not 1 second late.” Arriving on time shows a decent respect of your opponent’s time, as well as respect for your own word. “He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much.”
Immediate expulsion from the team will result from the following:
1. Unsportsmanlike or haughty conduct on the game forum, that is to say, trying to intimidate or scorn an opponent verbally in any way. If one does not behave courteously toward his or her worst enemy or opponent, he or she will not be able to maintain courteous relations with teammates. “No fountain can both yield salt water and fresh.”--James 3:12
2. More than one forfeit against a player in one season.
3. Repeated complaints by teammates, to any extent verifiable, of harassing, abusive, or un-courteous remarks or behavior.
New Players
Please read the Player's Handbook for what is expected by Team League of all players.
New players who wish to join our team will be expected to pass the RR exam, administered by the captain--“Are you rejoicing?” and “Are you reliable?” Upon passing the exam, new players may be admitted to the team, and their reliability will be evaluated by the captain and observed by full members during the course of the first tournament. After the first tournament, if the player would like to continue with the team, with the captain’s approval, full members will submit a secret ballot to the captain as to whether to admit to new member to full membership.
"Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice."
